Sometimes, the most rewarding projects come in small sizes. One of my favorite recent projects was a small guest bath. We needed to work within the existing footprint, an 8' x 6' space, and to update it in a way that reflected our clients' love of family heirlooms. We wanted it to have a vintage vibe, while still feeling fresh.
Our selections included a balance of rich colors and textures, set against a crisp combination of surfaces. The subway tile has an imperfect, handmade feel, while the hexagon mosaic on the floor adds vintage flair. We were able to repurpose a treasured family chest of drawers as a vanity, which brought soulfulness to the design. The materials came together beautifully, but most importantly, the space reflects the homeowners' style, interpreted through the AGI lens.
